We all know that climate change is shaping the future of Southern Nevada — from hotter summers and scarce water to more frequent storms and dirtier air. Understanding these changes and knowing what actions we can take is essential for every resident, business, and community leader. That’s where the All-In Climate Academy comes in. 

What is the All-In Climate Academy? 

The All-In Climate Academy is an online educational journey designed to help Clark County residents and stakeholders build their climate knowledge, explore meaningful resources, and take informed action for a sustainable and resilient future. The Academy combines clear lessons, downloadable materials, and opportunities to reflect and take action on climate change, making climate learning both accessible and effective. 

How is the Academy organized? 

The Academy is structured into three literacy levels, each building on the last to deepen understanding and engagement. 

Level 1: Beginner 

This is where most people start. You’ll explore foundational topics like What is Climate Change?, Sources of Emissions in Clark County, and How Climate Change is Impacting Southern Nevada. These modules ground learners in key concepts and local realities, supplemented by community testimonials.

Level 2: Intermediate 

Once you’ve mastered the basics, Level 2 takes you deeper into how climate change affects our community. Topics include Climate Hazards in Clark County, What Is Climate Vulnerability?,  and practical guidance like Tips to Beat the Heat. This level blends science with lived experience and actionable insights to help learners understand risks and resilience.

Level 3: Expert 

For those ready to engage with broader climate systems and strategic action, Level 3 explores advanced themes like Global Climate Advocacy and how international agreements relate to local climate action. This level supports learners who want to think systemically and connect local efforts to larger climate goals.

How do you use the Academy? 

Getting started is simple: select a level from the right-hand navigation on the Academy page, click into Module 1 for that level, and work your way through each lesson using the “Next” button at the bottom of each module. At the end of each level, take the “Test Your Knowledge” quiz to reflect on what you’ve learned before advancing.  

The Academy is not just about information–it’s about connection and action. As you move through the modules, you’ll gain the context to become a more informed citizen and the confidence to become a better climate communicator. The more you learn, the more you can inspire your community to take action!
